Random Dozen: My Brain May or May Not Be On Autopilot This Morning

Feeling a little blah on this Wednesday morning. There are a lot of things whirling and twirling around in my brain and heart and for that reason I am so glad that today is random dozen day. And that I answered all these questions yesterday.

1. When was the last time you craved a food--what was it, and did you cave? Chocolate. And duh, I caved. It's chocolate.

2. M & M's or Skittles? Almond M&M's.

3. Have you ever read the Bible completely through? Yes. Twice all the way through and three times through the New Testament. I also am reading through the bible again this year (it's a goal every year since college, but as you can see I've failed all but two times, I usually get bogged down in Leviticus or one of the minor prophets).

4. How long does it take you to really wake up in the morning? I hit the snooze an average of two or three(or four) times every morning. That is about 24 minutes, then I spend another 10 or 15 minutes just trying to accept that it is in fact morning and I do have to face the day. I am not really a morning person. Fortunately I don't usually have to talk to anyone for the first hour that I am awake, so that's good.

5. Have you ever been on a cruise? If not, would you like to? No I haven't, but yes I would like to. I've heard good stories and horror stories about cruises but I am just going to have to experience it for myself.

6. Who is your favorite actress? Currently it's Amy Adams (I think she's my generation's Meg Ryan). But there are others I adore: Sandra Bullock, Zooey Deschanel, Jenna Fischer and Tina Fey.

7. ______ is something that I will just never understand. The success of a show as crass and stupid as Two and a Half Men (and how my dad can watch the reruns of it every. single. night. before dinner).

8. How much of a technology junkie are you? I'm practically technologically illiterate. I just like to fool a lot of people.

9. Do you enjoy selecting greeting cards for people, or is it more of a cultural "have to" for you? I like it most of the time. We get a lot of catalogs for greeting cards at work and I have been known to spend a little bit of time perusing them. I like to find just the right card for a person (funny or mushy, serious or silly) for the right occasion.

10. When was the last time you got a new style/haircut? I've been growing my hair long for the last three and a half years and the only thing different I've done in that time frame is get bangs. Right now I kinda hate them (too short and too thick this time around, I should have stuck with the longish side swept ones, but oh well, hindsight is 20/20). So I'm growing them out. Isn't growing out bangs the worst?

11. What do you enjoy shopping for most? Music (and I never have to leave my home, thank you iTunes)! Followed closely by books! Followed by shoes!

12. What's the last thing you think of before you leave the house? Am I going to be late? Great. I'm going to be late. I hate being late. Why did I hit the snooze four times this morning?

So there you have it, thought provoking stuff. Just for your Wednesday. If you enjoyed this, go on over to 2nd Cup of Coffee and amuse yourself further. You'll be glad you did.

I love Amy Adams too.

I must confess I have not tried an almond m/m but I promise you I will be looking for them on my next shopping trip. I usually just go right for the yellow bag. : )

I guess it is a sign of my age that I don't even know who most of those actresses are...sigh

I agree about 2 1/2 men -- why is it that Charlie Sheen is the highest paid actor in TV today? I think everyone loves a bad boy but ick. We don't even HAVE TV service and I know about him -- from when we've traveled and caught the show. Much to my dismay.

My bangs are in the awkward stage. I need to decide what to do about them! haha!

I enjoy Amy Adams too. I cannot wait to see her new movie. It looks so good.

I'm starting to like Amy Adams more and more too.

The only M&M's that I've noticed around here are plain and peanut. :v(
