November, You're Even Better Than October

And I really mean that.

You have the best autumn foliage in my part of the world.

You have cooler temperatures.

You have the Christmas Open House at my work.

You have the opportunity to listen to Christmas music with a lot less shame (too many Facebook friends chided my love of Christmas music- in October. Halloweens over, let the christmas music begin).

You have Thanksgiving- a holiday way too underappreciated. Turkey, dressing, cranberries, sweet potato casserole, pecan pie!! Oh my!

You have Arts and Crafts fairs galore.

You have it all November. Don't let December bully you. You rock.

You mention all the great food, but someone said we're having a southwest thanksgiving. What is that? I don't eat those wonderful traditional foods until thanksgiving. But that one day, I want them:( what is southwest thanksgiving???

Quotes

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me- watch how i do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." Matthew 11:28 The Message
